Psychotherapist and Artist

Often these days I work with watercolor sitting alongside my clients who are doing their own work. The work is less focused than my other art forms, as the client is my main focus and I only add to my own paper when I sense they need a moment to think or are deep in their own painting. I've come to deeply appreciate my watercolor practice that works at the pace of someone else's therapy session as the primary guide.

In the West End of Atlanta, my studio office holds space for adolescents and adults who are seeking to engage in a therapeutic-relationship-ritual with a Licensed Professional Counselor. Grounded in a Humanistic foundation from the University of West Georgia, I meet the lived struggles of trauma, gender, and sexuality with compassion, an ear for metaphors, and an interest in experiential Expressive Therapies. At the intersection where art meets therapy, I founded and run the Therapeutic Artists Residency, offering four artists a year free individual and group therapy that ends in a showcase of their work and process.
